Introduction

This policy sets out the basis upon which data you provide to us will be processed by us. Who we are

We are a recruitment agency as defined by Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003. We collect personal data about prospective and existing clients and prospective and placed candidates.

Your Personal Data

Information you give us or we collect about you

This is information you provide us by filling in contact forms on our website, by speaking to us on the phone, corresponding via e-mail, text message or otherwise. This information might include your name, private and business email address, phone number, salary expectations, certifications, references and curriculum vitae.

Information we collect when you visit our website

We will automatically collect some information, including the anonimised (last octect set to zero) Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your browser type and version.

Information we collect from other sources

This is information we obtain from sources such as Linkedin, CV libraries, job boards, personal recommendations and others. In this we case we will inform you within a maximim of 30 days of collecting the data, of the fact that we hold personal data about you, the source of the data, and for what purpose we intend to retain and process your data.

Legitimate purpose for collecting personal data and legal basis for processing

We use personal information held about you in the following ways:
To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts we intend to enter into or have entered into between you and us;
To provide you with the information, products and services that you request from us;
To perform introduction of candidates to clients for permanent and temporary roles.

Our legal basis for processing of your personal data is either because you have provided your explicit consent; processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you; processig is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation or processing is necessary for the purpose of our legitimate business interest as a recuitment company.

As a recruitment business we introduce candidates to clients for permanent and temporary roles. The process requires the exchange of personal data of our clients and candidates. In order to support candidates for future roles and clients in their recruiting needs we might hold historical candidate and client personal data.

Consent

We will request your consent to process your data orally, by email or by alternative electronic process for the specific activity that the consent is required for. Where consent is the lawful basis for processing you have the right to withdraw consent at any time.

Who we share your data with

We will share your personal information with limited third parties such as: clients for the purpose of introducing candidates’ profiles to them, arranging interviews, providing feedback and discussing and negotiating an employment offer; candidates for the purpose of arranging interviews and engagements with clients; credit reference agencies, our insurance company, compliance partners and other sub-contractors for the purpose of assessing your suitability for a role or where this is a condition of us entering into a contract with you.

Where we store and process your personal data

We might transfer and store your data outside of the EEA. By submitting your personal data you agree to this transfer and storing. CA Selective will take reasonable steps to ensuring your data is treated securely in accordance to this policy.

How long we retain your personal data

All personal data is processed and stored securely, for no longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected. We will comply with our obligations and safeguard your rights under the GDPR at all times.In the case of clients we will retain your data for the duration of the contract we have with you. We might hold some data beyond the contract end date if this is legally required. In the case of candidates, we will retain your personal data for the duration of the active recruiting engagements and beyond in order to offer you support for future roles. We try and ensure we have accurate data about you by discussing and obtaining verbal approval before performing an introduction to prospective employers.
